Current Louisiana licensure as an Occupational Therapist (required). Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills. Ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary healthcare environment. Strong communication and patient education skills. Ability to deliver age-appropriate care across patient populations. You will plan, implement, and evaluate individualized occupational therapy treatment programs. Working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary care team, you will assess functional performance and guide patients toward improved independence and quality of life. Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and determine functional abilities. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with patient and discharge goals. Provide therapeutic interventions including self-care training, motor learning, strength and endurance activities. Adapt patient environments and interventions to promote safety and progress. Reassess patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed. Provide patient and family education including home activity programs. Document evaluations, treatments, productivity, and billing information accurately. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other care team members. Participate in interdisciplinary conferences and discharge planning. Recommend adaptive equipment and coordinate with vendors as needed. Participate in in-services, training, and department initiatives. Maintain continuing education requirements for licensure. Work across multiple clinical areas or locations as needed.
