hires WEEKEND only: Saturday and Sunday (2x8 - day / afternoon) Caring Bees Healthcare is quickly expanding, and we are hiring Occupational Therapists to provide services to our clients in the Greater Boston areas effective immediately. We care for patients of all ages and backgrounds who require therapy visits in their homes. Most of our patients are elderly so we hire the most compassionate and thoughtful talent in the field. You will be responsible for managing your caseload, so time management, good documentation, and communication skills are essential. Must be dependable with reliable transportation; all documentation is web-based. It is important to provide each patient with the time and attention necessary to meet his or her needs. The Occupational Therapist evaluates and provides family-oriented services to the home health patient with neurological, musculoskeletal, orthopedic, and cardio-pulmonary impairments; fine motor, sensory-motor, and developmental delays; as well as traumatic injuries and swallowing disorders. This includes patient and caregiver education; discharge planning; and consultation with other professionals, clinics, or agencies.OT Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide initial and ongoing OASIS assessment to determine the level of functioning. Gather background data, review referrals, select and modify evaluation tools, and evaluate patients determining the level of patient's physical and psychosocial functioning. Develop and revise the plan of care in consultation with the physician and other care team members. Responsible for planning, evaluation, and treatment implementation of the assigned caseload. Prepare clinical progress notes, evaluate outcomes, and plans discharge Supervise therapy assistants and home health aides as appropriate. Educate patients and/or families about proper safe use and recommend methods for the installation of adaptive equipment.OT Qualifications and Skills:
Currently licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Occupational and Physical Therapy Examiners Minimum of one year in an acute care setting. Two years experience in Home Health preferred Able to maintain strict confidentiality about protected and sensitive information. Must be able to solve problems independently and confidently by applying analytical and logical thinking. Able to write reports and correspondence and present information and respond to questions at a professional level. Able to effectively communicate with individuals from diverse backgrounds and varying educational levels. Able to complete clincial documentation accurately and timelyPay:
