Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. An opportunity is available for an experienced Orientation and Mobility Specialist (OMS) to provide essential services within a school setting in Roxbury, MA. This full-time, onsite position involves working with K-12 students to develop their orientation and mobility skills, supporting their independence and safety.
Responsibilities include:
Assessing and developing individualized orientation and mobility plans for students Collaborating with educators, therapists, and families to implement effective strategies Providing direct instruction in safe travel techniques and use of assistive devices Monitoring student progress and adjusting plans as needed Maintaining required documentation and reports in accordance with regulatory standards
Qualifications:
