Job Description

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make a meaningful difference in the lives of K-8 students by providing exceptional school-based occupational therapy services. This contract opportunity allows you to focus on delivering impactful care and fostering student growth within a supportive and collaborative learning environment. Your expertise will help children reach their fullest potential at a critical stage in their development.
Qualifications and Skills:
Hold a valid Occupational Therapist license in the state of Massachusetts (MA OT License required) Previous experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred Familiarity with K-8 student populations and school IEP/504 processes Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Roles and Responsibilities:
Provide assessment and therapeutic intervention for K-8 students onsite, addressing fine motor, sensory integration, and functional skills Develop individualized treatment plans based on student needs in collaboration with educators and families Document evaluations, goal progress, and session notes efficiently and accurately Participate in IEP meetings, provide recommendations, and support implementation of accommodations Collaborate with teachers and other school professionals to support student success in the classroom Educate and empower families and school staff with strategies to promote increased independence for students
