Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract position offering the chance to make a meaningful impact in the lives of Pre-K through 4th grade students. As a licensed Occupational Therapist, you will provide essential onsite services across two school buildings. With a full-time schedule running from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm (half hour unpaid lunch) for 32.5 hours each week, you will play a vital role in supporting students' developmental and educational needs.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Occupational Therapy license in Massachusetts Experience supporting pediatric or school-aged populations, particularly in a Pre-K through 4th grade setting Strong background in providing direct therapy, as well as consultative services to teachers and families Excellent communication skills for report writing and presentations Ability to manage a busy caseload and travel between two buildings as needed Comfort with conducting evaluations, writing and presenting reports, and documenting progress according to timelines
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations for students, identifying individual strengths and needs Develop and implement effective treatment plans that support student success in both academic and functional activities Deliver direct intervention and consultative services in accordance with student IEPs Prepare thorough progress reports and participate in team meetings to present findings and recommendations Collaborate with teachers, staff, and family members to promote generalization of skills Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and regulatory guidelines This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire growth, provide valuable support, and build meaningful relationships within a collaborative school environment.
