Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract An exciting opportunity awaits for a passionate Occupational Therapist seeking a contract role in a dynamic educational environment. This position focuses on supporting students from PreK through 8th grade during the Extended School Year program, running from July 6th to August 6th. Qualifications & Skills:
Active and valid Occupational Therapist licensure Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred Strong understanding of IEP process and therapeutic interventions for a diverse student population Effective communication skills to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams Ability to adapt to varied caseloads and tailor strategies for different age groups
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy services to students in PreK through grade 8, assisting with fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities Work closely with special education teams to design and implement individualized intervention plans Participate in IEP meetings, providing input and documentation to support student progress Educate and consult with teachers and families to foster student independence within the school environment Maintain thorough case notes and ensure compliance with all documentation requirements
