Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat both adult and pediatric patients using a variety of occupational therapy techniques. The role focuses on improving patient functionality, independence, and quality of life through customized treatment plans and therapeutic interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals Perform diagnostic testing and functional assessments Deliver occupational therapy treatments and adjust plans based on progress Fabricate adaptive equipment and splints as needed Modify therapy techniques for patients with cognitive or physical limitations Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and progress Communicate effectively with healthcare teams regarding patient status and discharge planning Educate patients and families on therapy programs and home care Maintain therapy equipment and supply inventory Supervise and guide OT assistants, aides, and students Participate in quality improvement, safety, and infection control initiatives Assist with training and onboarding of new staff Maintain daily activity logs and billing records Attend meetings, workshops, and continuing education programs
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution Active Occupational Therapist License (Massachusetts) Current BLS Certification Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills Ability to work independently and adapt to diverse patient needs
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in occupational therapy (adult and pediatric settings) Prior experience in rehabilitation environments Specialist certification (for advanced-level candidates)
Additional Requirements:
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English Flexibility to provide float coverage within regional service areas Strong focus on patient-centered care and functional outcomes
Work Environment:
