Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract This contract opportunity is for an Occupational Therapist to provide services during the Extended School Year (ESY) session from July 6, 2025, to August 7, 2025. The position is located in Cambridge, MA, serving students in grades K-12 within a school setting. The role requires approximately 30 hours per week, working 6 hours per day from Monday through Friday. The therapist will deliver Occupational Therapy services tailored to meet students' individual needs, supporting their development and educational goals over the ESY period. Experience working in school environments and familiarity with pediatric therapy are essential.
Preferred qualifications and skills include:
Valid Occupational Therapist credentials or licensure appropriate for school settings Prior experience providing OT services to school-age children (K-12) Knowledge of school system regulations and Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Safe Care Certification is preferred to ensure competency in addressing behavioral and safety needs within the educational environment Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and other team members Responsibilities include: Assessing and implementing OT interventions that promote student participation and achievement Documenting progress and maintaining compliance with school and state regulations Participating in team meetings and providing consultation to staff as needed This is an excellent contract position for therapists seeking a focused summer commitment in a supportive school setting.
