Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students' development and well-being in an engaging educational environment. This is a full-time position for a skilled Occupational Therapist with experience across school-based, home health, and healthcare settings. You'll play a crucial role in helping students achieve greater independence and participate actively in their learning community. This contract role begins as soon as possible and continues through June 24, 2026, with the possibility of extension into extended school year (ESY) or next school year (NSY) programs. The position offers a consistent 37.5-hour workweek, ensuring stability and the chance to build meaningful relationships with students and staff.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Occupational Therapy license for Massachusetts Previous experience in school-based settings strongly preferred Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Effective communicator with students, families, and school staff Adaptability to provide services in school or home-based environments Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs for diverse learners
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive OT assessments and re-evaluations Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to support academic and functional goals Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure student access to the curriculum Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines Engage in consultation and training for school personnel on best OT practices Participate in IEP meetings, contributing expertise to student support plans If you are passionate about making a difference in students' lives and are ready to contribute your skills in a dynamic school setting, this role is an excellent match.
