Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact by providing essential occupational therapy support to elementary-aged students in a dynamic school environment near Cambridge, MA. This contract opportunity runs from September 3, 2026, through June 23, 2027, and offers the chance to work full-time (32.5 hours weekly) with children in grades K-5.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
Active Occupational Therapy license in Massachusetts Experience working in school-based settings, ideally with elementary-aged students Demonstrated understanding of IEP development and implementation Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, support staff, and families Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills Compassionate, creative, and flexible approach supporting diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine students' occupational therapy needs Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in accordance with IEPs Provide direct and consultative OT services within classroom and small-group settings Maintain timely documentation, progress notes, and reports as required by state guidelines Collaborate with educators and families to support generalization of OT goals Attend IEP meetings and contribute expertise to multidisciplinary teams Use evidence-based interventions to support students' fine motor, sensory, and functional skills for classroom participation This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in a supportive school community while fostering academic and developmental growth among young learners.
