Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into an enriching contract opportunity serving students in a supportive school environment near Lowell, MA. This assignment spans from July 6, 2026, through August 13, 2026, focusing on providing occupational therapy services within an education setting. With onsite hours scheduled Monday to Thursday from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm (totaling 22 hours per week), you'll have a balanced workweek to engage meaningfully with your caseload. This role centers on working with PreK students, blending social-emotional and behavioral supports, and a small caseload with elementary-aged students who have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Additionally, you'll collaborate with high school students with ASD, fostering independence and school success across developmental stages.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
Current, active Massachusetts Occupational Therapy License (required) Experience in school-based settings, particularly with PreK and/or ASD populations Background providing intervention for social-emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs in students Skilled collaborator and effective communicator with school staff and families Strong organizational skills and comfort with onsite-only assignments
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver tailored OT services to PreK, elementary, and high school students in alignment with IEP goals Assess, plan, implement, and document individualized therapy plans Participate in team meetings and contribute to interdisciplinary support plans Empower students with tools for social-emotional development, sensory regulation, and school participation
