Job Description

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A contract opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist to support an elementary school caseload in Newburyport, MA. This position requires a professional with expertise in school-based occupational therapy services, providing targeted support to young students to enhance their academic and functional performance.
Responsibilities include:
Delivering occupational therapy evaluations and individualized treatment plans for elementary-aged students Collaborating with educators, parents, and other related service providers to support student progress in a school setting Documenting therapy services and maintaining compliance with school and state regulations Participating in IEP meetings to provide expert recommendations and updates on student progress Implementing interventions that address fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom participation Desired qualifications and experience: Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in school-based practice Ability to manage an elementary school caseload efficiently Strong communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams Familiarity with educational laws and regulations relevant to occupational therapy services in schools Commitment to providing client-centered care and promoting student success This position is a contract role offering 3 to 4 days per week in a supportive school environment located in Newburyport, Massachusetts. It is ideal for an occupational therapist seeking a focused elementary caseload with flexible scheduling. Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply to contribute their expertise to the educational development of young learners. Compensation for this position ranges from $38.62 to $58.62.
