Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity as an Occupational Therapist supporting students during the Extended School Year. Bring your expertise to a dedicated team focused on helping students from PreK through 8th grade achieve their goals in a dynamic educational setting near Taunton, MA. This contract position spans July 6th through August 6th, offering a consistent four-day workweek and the chance to make a meaningful difference over the summer.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Massachusetts Experience providing OT services in school-based environments Familiarity with supporting students with a variety of needs, from preschool through middle school Strong collaborative skills for working alongside educators and other support staff Ability to develop and implement IEP goals tailored to individual students
Primary Responsibilities:
Assess students' functional abilities and create treatment plans addressing fine motor, sensory, and self-care needs Deliver direct therapy services to students from PreK-8th grade, adapting interventions as needed Document student progress and communicate updates with families and school teams Participate in team meetings, providing professional insights to support student development Collaborate with teachers to integrate occupational therapy recommendations into daily classroom routines
