Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into an environment where your expertise as an Occupational Therapist transforms young lives and shapes brighter futures. Two part-time opportunities are available in closely neighboring locations—Plainville and Bellingham, MA—providing the flexibility to focus on one site or combine both into a single role with expanded hours. You'll support students within a dynamic school setting, delivering direct and consultative OT services in alignment with IEP goals. Benefit from a contract position that respects your personal time: hours run Monday through Thursday, 8:30am to 1:30pm (about 10 hours per week per site), allowing for a true work-life balance ideal for those seeking rewarding work with dedicated hours.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Occupational Therapy license in Massachusetts Experience in school-based OT settings preferred, but new graduates with strong clinical competencies are encouraged to apply Skilled at assessments, goal setting, documentation, and progress monitoring Ability to collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families Strong communication and organizational skills
Role Responsibilities:
Provide therapy services to students with diverse needs, supporting functional independence in the educational environment Conduct thorough assessments and develop engaging treatment plans Monitor progress; prepare clear, timely documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines Actively participate in IEP meetings, sharing recommendations to maximize student success Support classroom staff with strategies and resources for student inclusion Enjoy the benefit of working a consistent daytime schedule that keeps your afternoons and Fridays open for other pursuits.
