School Occupational Therapist - West Springfield, Massachusetts Sunbelt Staffing - 3.8 West Springfield, MA Job Details Part-time $30 - $60 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Master's degree Occupational Therapy License Full Job Description Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. An exciting short-term opportunity awaits occupational therapy professionals seeking to make a meaningful impact in school-based settings. This summer role serves students at two locations, primarily in Ludlow, with a lighter commitment in West Springfield. The assignment runs from July 1, 2026 to August 7, 2026, making it a great fit for those interested in a focused contract during the Extended School Year (ESY).
Desired Qualifications:
Valid, active OT licensure meeting state requirements Previous experience working in K-12 or pediatric settings, preferably schools Strong communication and collaboration skills with diverse student populations Ability to adapt interventions to meet summer programming needs Must be available for 15 hours per week across both Ludlow and Brush Hill sites (predominantly Ludlow) Reliable transportation for commuting between locations as neededWhat You'll Do:
Deliver direct occupational therapy services to approximately 20 students during ESY, supporting motor skill development, regulation, and access to summer learning Consult with school teams to promote carryover of therapeutic strategies Maintain documentation in accordance with school protocols and state guidelines Communicate progress and needs with families and multidisciplinary staff Participate in flexible scheduling that fits the unique rhythms of summer programming This role is ideal for a licensed occupational therapist seeking variety, a manageable caseload, and the chance to enrich students' summer experiences.
