Job Description
Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Empower students to achieve their fullest potential by providing occupational therapy services in a supportive school-based environment. Currently, a contract opportunity is available for an occupational therapist to deliver both direct and consultative services near Westfield, MA. This role involves working two days per week through the remainder of the school year, with ongoing opportunities for the next academic year as well.
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Active OT license in Massachusetts (or eligibility for licensure) Previous experience in school-based or pediatric OT preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with educators, families, and students Ability to adapt therapeutic techniques to both individual and small group settingsPrimary Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy services to a caseload of approximately 11 students, focusing on both direct intervention and consultation Conduct thorough evaluations, maintain documentation, and develop individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals Schedule and carry out 20-30 minute sessions for each student 1-2 times per week, tailoring activities to address fine motor, sensory processing, and/or functional life skills Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success in both academic and functional capacities Participate in team meetings and contribute to creating a positive and inclusive school environmentBenefits:
