The Occupational Therapist is a professional clinical position responsible for providing occupational therapy to students. Directly facilitates individual occupational therapy in the classroom and other school settings. Serves as a member of the classroom team providing direct supervision of students during school hours. Completes and submits documentation of all clinical sessions and contacts by providing clinical notes by 4:00 pm on the following Monday. Oversees sensory integration for students within the school setting. Provides crisis intervention services to students during school hours. Functions as a treatment team member and attends all team conferences and meetings. Facilitates the development of all treatment goals, objectives, interventions, and approaches as they relate to the IEP. Responsible for providing documentation of billable sessions for Medical Assistance by the 1st of each month. Responsible for case management of student's outside-agency providers, as applicable. Serves as a liaison to resources in the community. Assures that drafts of Related Service Progress Reports are completed and submitted according to published due date. Reviews and ensures quality of finalized Related Service Progress Reports. Attends trainings and meetings as required. Shares/transmits the mission and vision of Arrow Child & Family Ministries to staff and to students and families served. Review client files on a quarterly basis to access service plan implementation, progress towards desired outcomes, and future appropriateness of service plan. Perform all duties within contract, state and federal regulations, Arrow policy, and COA standards. _____ #HP _____ Qualifications Master's degree in Occupational Therapy and at least one (1) year experience working with children diagnosed with autism preferably in a school setting. Must have license as an occupational therapist by the State Department of Health and Mental Hygiene at time of appointment and continuously throughout tenure in position.
