Job Description

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting early intervention and K-12 students as an Occupational Therapist in a vibrant educational setting near Leonardtown, MD. This assignment offers fulfillment and professional growth while making a tangible difference in student lives. The term runs from August 10th, 2026 to June 17th, 2027, and covers two exciting caseloads—a full-time, 11-month early intervention role and a K-12 opening. Ideal candidates blend clinical expertise with a passion for school-based practice, collaborating with faculty and families to foster student development and independence. You'll apply your skills in evidence-based interventions and individualized programming, all while working within an encouraging multidisciplinary team environment.
Required Qualifications:
Valid Occupational Therapy license for the state of Maryland (MD OT License) Experience in school-based OT or a strong desire to work with students from early intervention through high school Excellent communication and collaboration abilities Commitment to culturally responsive, family-centered services Strong organizational and time management skills
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and implement intervention plans for students requiring OT services Serve as a vital resource to
IEP/IFSP
teams, participating in meetings as needed Tailor therapy approaches to meet the unique needs of Early Intervention and K-12 populations Maintain thorough documentation and compliance with district and state regulations Engage with families and teachers to maximize student progress and generalization of skills Discover the satisfaction of supporting students' growth and independence in a dynamic school environment while benefitting from the stability of a full-time, school-year contract.
