Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic environment supporting students as a School Occupational Therapist for the upcoming academic year. This contract opportunity offers the chance to impact student development across either an early intervention setting (11-month position) or a K-12 caseload. Located near Lexington Park, you'll become an integral resource for student growth, working full time alongside dedicated educators and families.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Occupational Therapist license in Maryland (MD OT License required) Experience in school-based or pediatric occupational therapy settings preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams Ability to adapt interventions for diverse student needs across early intervention or K-12 settings Commitment to supporting students' independence, access, and participation
Core Responsibilities:
Conduct occupational therapy assessments and design individualized intervention plans Deliver direct and consultative OT services aligned with students' IEPs or IFSPs Document all therapy sessions, progress notes, and outcome measures accurately and timely Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to foster inclusive educational environments Participate in
IEP/IFSP
meetings, providing input and support for goal-setting and modifications Offer guidance and training to school personnel on strategies to accommodate student needs
