Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Make a positive impact on students' lives by providing essential occupational therapy services in a K-12 school environment as a full-time contract occupational therapist. This role is an excellent opportunity to work closely with a range of students, collaborating with educators and families to support academic success and overall development.
Qualifications and Skills:
Valid license as an Occupational Therapist. Experience or solid understanding of working in a school-based setting (K-12 strongly preferred). Familiarity with educational IEP processes and goal setting for students. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with staff, students, and families. Excellent organizational skills and adaptability to varying caseload needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine students' needs and develop individualized treatment plans. Deliver direct and consultative OT services for students across K-12 populations. Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and administration to integrate occupational therapy strategies into the classroom. Monitor and document students' progress, adapting intervention plans as necessary. Participate in IEP meetings, provide input, and support multidisciplinary teams. Maintain compliance with state, federal, and school-specific regulations and documentation requirements. Organize and manage a caseload to ensure timely and appropriate service delivery.
