Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding school-based opportunity providing occupational therapy services to a diverse K-12 population. This full-time, onsite contract role is ideal for an OT or COTA passionate about supporting students' development and contributing to a year-round educational setting. The majority of students served are on the autism spectrum, making this environment especially meaningful for professionals interested in working with neurodiverse populations. While full-time availability is preferred, skilled part-time candidates able to work Thursdays and Fridays are also encouraged to apply.
Key Qualifications:
Active Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in Maryland Recent experience working in school settings, preferably K-12 Proficiency addressing occupational needs of students with autism or related developmental challenges Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with educational staff, students, and families Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver evidence-based therapy for students to improve skills related to their educational participation Assess, plan, and implement individualized intervention strategies tailored to each student's needs Engage in interdisciplinary team meetings, contributing insights and recommendations Maintain timely and thorough documentation as required by school and regulatory standards Support classroom staff with strategies and accommodations that foster an inclusive, supportive environment What to
