Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Begin your next career adventure as a contract Occupational Therapist supporting students in a dynamic educational environment this summer. This exciting ESY (Extended School Year) opportunity starts during the third week of June and offers flexible hours, allowing you to make a meaningful impact based on students' and families' scheduling needs. You'll have the opportunity to work with a diverse caseload—approximately 21 to 25 students ranging from elementary to high school age. With around 11 elementary, 7 middle school, and 2 high school students, you'll tailor interventions that foster students' development and maximize their classroom participation.
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist. Previous experience in school settings or pediatrics strongly preferred. Comfortable adapting to varying student abilities and educational levels. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with staff, parents, and students. Ability to implement individualized therapy plans and track progress. Experience with IEP documentation is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy services to students participating in ESY programming. Evaluate and develop individualized therapy interventions aligned with students' IEP goals. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to promote student success. Adjust session times to coordinate with parents' schedules, ensuring student access to services. Record and report progress, making data-driven adjustments as needed. Support a positive, inclusive environment that encourages student growth and independence.
