Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a school-based Occupational Therapist where you'll play a vital role in empowering elementary students to achieve their fullest potential. This position offers approximately 7.5 hours per week, allowing you to make a direct impact while maintaining a flexible schedule. The role is based at an elementary campus and begins as soon as possible.
Key Qualifications:
Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) Experience with school-aged children, preferably in elementary settings Strong understanding of the educational environment and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Excellent communication skills for collaboration with teachers, parents, and support staff Ability to work independently, adapting interventions to meet students' diverse needs
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and provide therapy for students in grades K-2 to enhance learning and participation Develop and implement individualized treatment plans as part of the IEP process Collaborate with general and special education teachers to integrate supports into the classroom Maintain accurate, timely documentation of student progress and sessions Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings and contribute to goal setting for students Provide guidance and resources to families and staff to foster student independence
