Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic educational setting near Dearborn, MI by supporting students as an Occupational Therapist in a contract role. Make a meaningful impact working with elementary learners, helping them reach their fullest potential through skilled intervention and collaboration.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) in Michigan or eligibility to obtain licensure Prior experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred Familiarity with IEP development, goal writing, and progress monitoring Strong communication and teamwork skills to support collaboration with teachers and families Ability to adapt therapy approaches to various elementary age groups Organizational skills to manage caseload efficiently within school hours
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in a lower elementary environment Assess and document students' functional abilities and therapeutic needs Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and participate in IEP meetings Work collaboratively with educators, staff, and families to integrate OT solutions into the classroom and daily routines Monitor and record students' progress, adjusting strategies as needed Offer staff consultation and guidance to ensure a supportive and accessible learning environment
