School Occupational Therapist - Dearborn, Michigan Sunbelt Staffing - 3.8 Dearborn, MI Job Details Qualifications Master's degree Occupational Therapy License Full Job Description Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make a real impact supporting students as a contract Occupational Therapist for the remainder of the school year. This position begins as soon as possible and extends through June 11, providing a valuable opportunity to help students achieve their goals in a collaborative educational setting.
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Current Occupational Therapist license in Michigan Experience working in a school environment or with pediatric populations Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families Understanding of IEP implementation and documentation standards Flexible, compassionate, and positive approach to supporting diverse learners
Your Role:
Deliver skilled occupational therapy services to students based on individualized education plans (IEPs) Assess students' physical, sensory, and cognitive needs to promote school participation and independence Develop and implement therapy goals with measurable outcomes Work closely with educators and allied professionals to modify classroom environments and support student success Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all state and federal regulations Provide guidance and training to staff and families to reinforce therapy strategies across school settings
