School Occupational Therapist - Lincoln Park, Michigan Sunbelt Staffing - 3.8 Lincoln Park, MI Job Details Contract 3 hours ago Benefits Travel reimbursement Qualifications Master's degree IEP implementation Cross-functional communication Occupational Therapy License Full Job Description Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make a genuine impact in the metro-Detroit area by providing essential Occupational Therapy services to students during the Extended School Year (ESY) program. This contract role, conveniently located near Lincoln Park, MI, offers an excellent opportunity to bring your OT expertise into a school-based setting—working closely with local students to support their growth and independence.
Key Qualifications:
Active Occupational Therapist (OT) credential in Michigan Experience with OT in K-12 schools, home health, or a healthcare setting Strong understanding of school-based therapy and IEP processes Ability to work effectively in an itinerant role across potentially multiple locations Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
Responsibilities:
Provide ESY Occupational Therapy services to students registered in the district's summer program from July 7th to August 6th Develop and implement therapy plans tailored to each student's needs and IEP requirements Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff as part of the ESY team Maintain accurate records and contribute to meetings as needed Adapt to a dynamic caseload as students register and assignments evolve
Role Details:
Contract position based near Lincoln Park, MI, a south/down-river suburb of Detroit Itinerant assignments with paid travel
Schedule:
Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 8am to noon You'll find administrative support, ongoing access to team meetings, and a welcoming, collaborative environment. Training on the district's IEP system is provided, helping you feel confident and supported as you step into the role.
