Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact supporting students as an Occupational Therapist in a contract role serving schools near Manchester, MI. This position presents a unique opportunity to provide vital services and help students achieve their highest level of independence and learning. Your expertise will play a key role in shaping educational experiences and empowering students to thrive.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Current Occupational Therapist (OT) license for the state of Michigan Prior experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations highly valued Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams Strong communication skills to engage with students, staff, and families Skilled in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive classroom environment
Responsibilities:
Evaluate students' needs and develop individualized treatment plans Deliver occupational therapy services in accordance with each student's IEP Partner closely with special education and general education staff to integrate therapy goals Monitor student progress, making recommendations and adjustments as needed Document services provided and maintain up-to-date progress records Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and team discussions Advocate for student needs and provide consultative support to educational teams
