Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Opportunity available for a dedicated Occupational Therapist to support students in a dynamic school setting for the 2026/2027 school year. This full-time, contract position focuses primarily on delivering services within several sites, with a main presence at Cesar Chavez locations and the potential for assignments at additional facilities as needed. Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution Current Michigan licensure or eligibility to obtain Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric OT setting preferred Understanding of IEP processes, goal writing, and progress monitoring Effective communication and organizational skills Ability to adapt and work across multiple locations as required Collaborative mindset to work with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and develop individualized occupational therapy plans for students Work one-on-one or in small groups to address fine motor, sensory, or self-care challenges Participate in IEP meetings, create goals, and track student progress Provide consultative support and resources to educational staff and families Document and communicate interventions, outcomes, and recommendations Travel between sites as needed in response to student needs You'll find a flexible workplace culture and schools committed to professional growth and positive student outcomes.
