Category Schools - OT Job Type Travel An exciting opportunity is available for a full-time Occupational Therapist specializing in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) programs within a school setting. This position is based in Westland, MI, and involves travel to various school locations, providing a dynamic and engaging professional experience. The role requires expertise across multiple service settings, including home health, healthcare facilities, teletherapy, and schools, allowing for a diverse application of skills and techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized occupational therapy services tailored to students with ASD, supporting their academic and social success. Collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare providers to develop and implement effective intervention plans. Utilize teletherapy platforms to reach students remotely, ensuring accessibility and continuity of care. Conduct assessments, document progress, and adjust treatment plans as necessary to meet students' evolving needs. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to program development focused on ASD.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Licensed Occupational Therapist with credentials valid in Michigan. Experience working within school-based settings, home health, healthcare, and teletherapy environments. Demonstrated ability to design and implement therapy interventions for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with students, families, and professionals. Flexibility to travel between school sites as required.
Location:
This travel position is primarily based in Westland, MI, with assignments to various schools in the surrounding area.
