Job Description

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. An exciting opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support a K-12 school in Wyandotte, MI. This 6-8 week full-time contract assignment begins in January and involves working with approximately 50 students within a single school setting. This role is ideal for clinicians who specialize in school-based occupational therapy and are looking for a short-term position with impactful student engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct occupational therapy services to K-12 students, addressing diverse therapeutic needs Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop and implement individualized treatment plans Conduct assessments and document student progress effectively Support students in improving fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions about student goals and interventions
Qualifications:
Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with school-based experience Demonstrated ability to work with children across K-12 grade levels Strong communication and collaboration skills within a school environment Flexibility to commit to a full-time, short-term contract assignment Familiarity with school therapy documentation and educational standards preferred
