Job Description

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students and educators as a school-based Occupational Therapist for the 2026-2027 academic year. This contract role offers valuable experience while covering a maternity leave in a dynamic educational setting near Anoka, MN. You'll work onsite, collaborating with staff and helping high school students reach their goals. As an Occupational Therapist in this position, you'll make a positive impact on the lives of students across four area high schools. The responsibilities include providing services focused on maximizing students' independence and participation within the school environment, collaborating on IEP teams, and maintaining clear communication with staff and families. Your expertise will shape a supportive and inclusive learning experience for students.
Essential Experience & Licensure:
Active Occupational Therapist license in Minnesota (candidates must submit a valid license and resume for consideration) School-based OT experience is highly preferred Previous maternity leave, long-term, or coverage experience beneficial Comfortable managing a multi-campus high school caseload Strong organizational and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and consultative OT services according to IEP requirements Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families Document services and progress as required by district and state guidelines Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary teams Provide support and resources to maximize students' functional abilities This assignment follows a Monday-Friday schedule (37.5 hours/week) during typical school hours, providing a stable routine and excellent work-life balance while you complete this meaningful placement.
