Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Exciting opportunity for a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide ESY coverage for a local district! This contract assignment is tailored for a skilled OT with experience in school settings, looking for a dynamic schedule and the chance to make a meaningful impact on students from birth through age 3. You'll work onsite serving a caseload of infants and toddlers, conducting home or daycare visits with an interdisciplinary team throughout the summer session. This contract offers significant autonomy with a flexible weekly commitment—estimate 3-5 hours per week, but actual hours may vary depending on caseload needs (ranging from 2-8 hours some weeks). Direct work with ages 3-22 will occur mornings only, with services provided primarily on an indirect basis, allowing you to optimize your schedule when checking in with students and staff. Your expertise will help support developmental goals and enrich children's lives during this extended school year period.

Schedule:
Monday-Friday, excluding June 19 and June 29-July 3 Preferred qualifications and experience: Valid Minnesota Occupational Therapy license (required for submission) Experience with school-based OT, especially ESY and/or birth-3 populations Ability to work collaboratively on an interdisciplinary team Strong documentation and time management skills Flexibility and adaptability to fluctuating weekly schedules Reliable transportation to conduct home/daycare visits as needed Key responsibilities: Assess, plan, and provide occupational therapy services for infants, toddlers, and youth as outlined by individualized plans Participate in monthly home or daycare visits with the early intervention team Maintain detailed documentation and communicate progress to stakeholders Support students' developmental needs through creative and effective interventions This flexible position lets you craft a schedule that works for you while delivering critical support to local families.
