Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Looking for a rewarding contract opportunity supporting student success? A school setting near Isanti, MN is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to cover a maternity leave from October 26th, 2026, to March 29th, 2027. Both onsite and virtual OTs are encouraged to apply. You'll play an essential role in helping children reach their full potential and directly support educational staff by supervising a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid Occupational Therapist license in Minnesota (or eligibility for licensure) Prior experience in a school-based OT setting preferred Strong understanding of pediatric OT practices and IEP requirements Confidence in supervising and mentoring a COTA Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills Comfortable with virtual platforms and teletherapy service delivery (for remote applicants)
Key Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive occupational therapy assessments for students Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students in accordance with best practices Maintain timely and accurate records, including progress notes and reports Collaborate with special education staff, teachers, and families to support student development Provide clear, supportive supervision to a COTA Participate in IEP meetings, offering valuable insights on student needs and progress
