Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in a vibrant K-8 charter school near Minneapolis, MN. This role is ideal for Occupational Therapists (OTs) passionate about making a difference in diverse educational environments. The position is two days per week, with a possible increase to 2-3 days as needed, allowing for excellent flexibility and work-life balance. You'll work with a caseload of approximately 35 students, addressing a range of academic, behavioral, and related service needs. The school fosters a collaborative special education team environment, giving you the chance to partner closely with educators and specialists. Services are delivered using a mix of push-in, pull-out, and consult models, tailored to support each student's success.
Desired Qualifications & Skills:
Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT), or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) under appropriate supervision Experience in school-based, home health, healthcare, or teletherapy settings Comfort working with K-8 population (ages 5-14), especially students with diverse needs Familiarity with SPED Forms for IEP documentation and progress tracking Ability to adapt to onsite, teletherapy, or hybrid service delivery models Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy services tailored to meet the educational and developmental needs of students Collaborate with special education and general education staff to support individualized goals Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to program planning Maintain thorough and timely documentation using SPED Forms Utilize a variety of service delivery models, including push-in, pull-out, and consultation This role supports professional growth and offers schedule flexibility.
