Park Nicollet is looking to hire an Occupational Therapist to join our Melrose Center team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.Position Summary:
The Occupational Therapist is responsible for assuring that the PNHS values of Head + Heart, Together, are achieved through daily departmental operations. This includes, but is not limited to, direct patient care, professional growth and development, outcome/competency monitoring, compliance with professional organizations, regulatory standards and regulatory agencies; and participating in process improvements to advance patient care outcomes and satisfaction. The Rehabilitation Services Occupational Therapist will communicate timely, clearly and in a professional manner with staff, patients, patient family members, physicians and other internal/external customers. The staff member will demonstrate skills in listening, conflict management, system problem solving, decision-making and process improvement. Therapists will practice in compliance with professional standards and professional code of ethics. Therapists in the development track will partner with their leader(s) to discuss ways in which the therapist can improve departmental performance through activities involving community events, presentations, and program/department improvement initiatives. The therapist will be given protected time to execute these activities. Participates in basic department development expectations for three professional pursuits, which must be some combination of the following: community event related Park Nicollet, TRIA or clinical profession, a presentation and/or program, project or committee participation. We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our team at the Melrose Center. The Melrose Center specializes in the treatment of men, women, and children with all diagnoses of eating disorders and co-occurring mental health diagnoses. The OT is responsible for managing a caseload of clients, planning and facilitating experiential and skill-based programming (in-person and virtually), contributing to program development, and working amongst a highly skilled multidisciplinary team. A high level of willingness for self-initiated learning and flexibility is needed in this role. Experience in mental health is preferred. This position may include working shifts at any of the Melrose Center sites (St. Louis Park, Maple Grove, Woodbury, Burnsville, and St. Paul), evening hours, rotating weekends, and holidays.Work Schedule:
Shifts vary 8am-8pm, rotating weekends and holidaysRequired Qualifications:
Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree inOccupational Therapy Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
Licensed with the Minnesota Department of Health.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Emphasis in a specific area of clinical expertise. Exhibit leadership qualities and serves as a professional role model within the clinic as documented in the most recent performance appraisal or resume/interview. Proficient with communication and data processing equipment. Proficient in clinical apparatus related to area of expertise. Proficient in organization electronic medical record software.Preferred Qualifications:
Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
Recommend membership in related professional organization such as the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), the Minnesota Occupational Therapy Association (MOTA), or the American Society of Hand Therapists (ASHT).Benefits:
