Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into an engaging school-based setting as a contract Occupational Therapist working with a mixed caseload of students aged 3 to 18. This position spans the academic year, kicking off August 24, 2026, and running through June 10, 2027, with Extended School Year (ESY) dates included. You'll have the opportunity to support students across three locations near Gower, MO, for 7.5 hours per day, three days each week. Compensation for this role ranges from $40 to $52 per hour, offering a rewarding experience as you help guide students to achieve their goals.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Current certification as an Occupational Therapist (able to provide direct services or supervise a COTA) Proven experience in school settings and with healthcare-related OT interventions Skilled in delivering OT via teletherapy platforms as needed Expertise in fine motor skills development and interventions Familiarity working with COTA (Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant) in a supervisory role Comfortable handling a caseload with diverse needs, primarily mild to moderate Previous experience with early childhood through adolescent age groups preferred
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy services to students aged 3-18 with a spectrum of abilities Support and supervise assigned COTA, ensuring collaborative and effective team service delivery Conduct thorough assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and monitor progress Facilitate fine motor skills development and address functional school-based needs Engage in both in-person and teletherapy sessions as required Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services and student progress If you are ready to make a meaningful impact within a supportive school environment while working a flexible contract schedule, this opportunity is ideal for you.
