Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will assess, plan, and implement personalized therapy programs to help individuals of all ages improve their functional abilities and enhance their quality of life. Whether working in inpatient settings, outpatient clinics, schools, or home health environments, you will play a crucial role in facilitating recovery, promoting independence, and supporting clients through their rehabilitation journey. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference by applying your expertise in physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and therapeutic techniques across diverse patient populations. Duties Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical and cognitive abilities to develop tailored treatment plans that address specific needs. Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility to foster independence. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including speech therapists, physicians, nurses, and educators—to coordinate care plans and discharge strategies. Implement therapeutic interventions for individuals with disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, geriatrics, or those recovering from acute care or ICU stays. Provide education and training to patients and caregivers on exercises, adaptive techniques, and safety measures to support ongoing recovery at home or in community settings. Manage case documentation accurately, including progress notes and care plans aligned with best practices in case management. Participate in discharge planning by evaluating patient progress and recommending appropriate follow-up services or therapies. Support early intervention programs by working closely with children in school or clinic environments to promote developmental milestones. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and current therapy techniques to ensure effective patient care. Experience Proven experience working as an Occupational Therapist in inpatient hospital settings with ICU experience preferred. Skilled nursing facility experience demonstrating ability to manage post-acute care cases effectively. Background in outpatient clinics or home health environments delivering patient-centered therapy services. Experience working with individuals across the lifespan—including pediatrics in school or early intervention programs—and geriatrics in skilled nursing facilities or outpatient settings. Familiarity with medical terminology, physiology knowledge, and anatomy to accurately assess and treat diverse conditions. Previous involvement in discharge planning and case management activities ensuring seamless patient transitions between care levels. Knowledge of working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder or disabilities to tailor interventions that promote functional independence. Ability to utilize therapy tools and documentation systems efficiently while maintaining compliance with healthcare standards. Join us to empower individuals through expert occupational therapy!
