Job Description

Job Summary Located at Kids Therapy Spot, OT 4 Kidz is seeking a dedicated and compassionate pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team. Ideally, candidates will have experience working in pediatrics. This role involves providing pediatric evaluations, developing personalized treatment plans, and providing skilled therapy through functional play to maximize patients' potential. The Occupational Therapist will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and support for individuals with diverse needs and diagnoses, including but not limited to neurodevelopmental disorders, autism, sensory processing needs, retained primitive reflexes, rare genetic diagnoses, developmental delay and other conditions. Responsibilities Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical, emotional, and social needs to develop effective treatment plans. Implement therapeutic interventions aimed at improving patients' skills and overall functionality. Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment goals and progress. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary based on ongoing assessments. Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care post-treatment. Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards. Stay informed about advancements in occupational therapy practices and participate in professional development opportunities. Skills Strong knowledge of physiology and human anatomy relevant to pediatric occupational therapy. Experience in pediatrics is preferred. Familiarity with case management principles and discharge planning processes. Strong organizational and time management skills Understanding of current evidence-based practices related to pediatric occupational therapy. Proficient in collaborating within a multidisciplinary team setting. Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Ability to adapt therapeutic techniques based on individual patient needs.
