Job Description

The Mobility Specialist works collaboratively with the rehab services staff and the interdisciplinary healthcare team in an acute care hospital setting to enhance mobility and physical function. In conjunction with a licensed physical therapist, the Mobility Specialist is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating mobility interventions for patients who require assistance with movement due to illness, surgery, or injury. This role is key in supporting the recovery process and ensuring that patients achieve optimal functional mobility, safety, and independence throughout their hospital stay. High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree in exercise related field such as kinesiology or exercise physiology preferred. BCLS required.
