TMSA Public Charter Schools, a thriving public charter school in North Carolina, is currently seeking a dedicated, experienced, and passionateOccupational Therapist to join our exceptional team of educators. We are committed to providing a supportive, inclusive, and innovative educational environment that fosters the academic, social, and emotional development of every student. TMSA Public Charter Schools is seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist (OT) to support students with disabilities in developing the skills necessary for academic success and daily functioning. The OT will work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and support staff to provide services in accordance with students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)Qualifications:
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy Current North Carolina Occupational Therapist license (or eligibility) NBCOT certification preferred Experience working with school-aged children preferred Knowledge of IEP process and special education laws Strong communication and collaboration skillsSkills, Duties, and Responsibilities:
Evaluate students to determine eligibility for occupational therapy services Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals related to fine motor, sensory, and functional skills Provide direct and indirect therapy services to students in individual and group settings Collaborate with teachers and staff to support student access to the curriculum Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and compliance records Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on student progress and needs Provide recommendations for classroom accommodations and assistive tools Support students with sensory processing, self-care, and motor coordination needs Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress Ensure compliance with IDEA, state, and local regulationsSimilar jobs in Concord, NC
