  • Housing Adaptations and Equipment Team in Durham UK earning £23.
54 Hourly from Monday 8 June 2026 to Friday 31 July 2026. We are looking for a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team covering the south of the county. This role involves working in areas such as Weardale Teesdale Bishop Auckland Shildon and Newton Aycliffe. You will work 30 hours per week from 08:30 to 17:00 providing essential support in housing adaptations and equipment provision. What you will do:
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations in clients' homes to identify their needs for housing adaptations and equipment.
  • Design and implement bespoke adaptation plans that enable clients to live independently and safely.
  • Collaborate closely with social care teams contractors and suppliers to ensure timely and effective delivery of equipment.
  • Provide expert guidance on moving and handling techniques ensuring that all safety protocols are adhered to.
  • Offer training and support to clients and their families on how to use adapted equipment effectively.
  • Monitor and review the effectiveness of the adaptations and equipment making necessary adjustments to improve functionality.
