Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Make an impact on students' lives as a school-based Occupational Therapist in a dynamic educational setting, working across schools in the Elkin, NC region. This contract opportunity runs from August 12th, 2026 through June 4th, 2027, for a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week. The assignment will take place within multiple school locations, giving you the chance to collaborate with a variety of teams and diverse student populations. Your expertise will directly support students by helping them develop crucial skills to succeed in their academic environments. You'll be supported by strong district leadership and passionate colleagues who share your commitment to student growth.
Key Qualifications:
Current Occupational Therapist (OT) license valid for the state of North Carolina Experience in school-based settings strongly preferred Familiarity with IEP development, documentation, and goal-setting Strong communication skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams Ability to adapt strategies to meet diverse student needs across multiple schools
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments to determine students' therapy needs Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and interventions in accordance with IEPs Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to facilitate students' progress toward their goals Deliver therapy services individually and in groups, adapting techniques for developmental stages Maintain accurate, timely documentation and progress reports Envision a fulfilling school year ahead where your contributions matter every single day.
