Setting:
long-term care (LTC) in a nursing home Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive OT evaluations to determine functional abilities, goals, and appropriate treatment plans for residents. Develop and implement individualized therapy programs addressing activities of daily living, upper-extremity function, cognitive tasks, and safety. Deliver direct therapy, monitor progress, and adjust treatment plans as needed; document outcomes in standard charting systems. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (nursing, therapy colleagues, social work) to coordinate care, discharge planning, and safe transitions of care. Educate residents and families on adaptive strategies, assistive devices, energy conservation, and home safety to promote independence. Requirements Current Occupational Therapist license to practice in North Carolina or eligible to obtain licensure. Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program (or equivalent). Ability to participate in a travel assignment in a long-term care setting and meet the guaranteed weekly hours requirement. Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills; proficient with standard OT documentation tools. Experience in acute or post-acute care settings is preferred, but not required.
