Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Make a difference in the lives of students by providing occupational therapy services in a dynamic school environment near Wilkesboro, NC. This contract opportunity runs from August 12, 2026, through June 4, 2027, and offers a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week. Multiple school locations will be determined over the summer, ensuring a varied and engaging experience.
Essential Qualifications:
Active and valid North Carolina Occupational Therapist (OT) license Previous experience working in school-based settings strongly preferred Strong understanding of IEPs, progress monitoring, and therapy documentation Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, teachers, and families Ability to effectively manage a diverse caseload across multiple school sites
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students requiring OT support Deliver direct and consultative therapy services in accordance with IEP goals Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote student access and success in the school environment Document student progress and maintain compliant records in a timely manner Provide training and support to school staff and families as needed This contract offers a competitive pay package and the professional satisfaction of supporting students' growth and independence during the 2026-2027 school year.
