Beyond Boundaries Therapy & Wellness specializes in occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech-language therapy, nutrition therapy, massage therapy and mental health. All services are provided during the day, Monday through Friday (no nights and weekends). The Occupational Therapist (OT) is responsible for the assessment, planning, intervention, and treatment of occupational therapy needs for clients. OT is responsible for providing education and information to clients and their care team. OT will utilize their educational background, ongoing continuing education, and skills to provide excellent and evidence-based care. Individualized care plans are based on client's age, diagnosis, symptoms, and physician orders. - Prepare for client sessions; this may include research into client conditions, diagnosis, and symptoms
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations and assessments to create treatment plans
- Prepare take-home educational materials
- Develop and implement intervention strategies
- Identify safe coping mechanisms and develop safety plans when appropriate
- Complete any necessary paperwork for billing/insurance purposes
- Collaborate with other therapy disciplines to ensure the best plan of care
- Maintain schedule to meet the needs of clients
- Knowledge of occupational therapy principles, theory, methods, and evidence-based practice
- Adherence to professional, ethical, and legal standards of practice
- Maintain the privacy and confidentiality of all clients and staff; follow company policies/procedures
- Knowledge of effective practice, clinical decision making, outcomes-based intervention and their proper application in the medical model. Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited program of occupational therapy
- Current ND license in good standing
