Job Description
Pediatric Occupational Therapist Position Overview We are seeking a Pediatric Occupational Therapist to work with children and adolescents who may have developmental, physical, sensory, or cognitive challenges. This role focuses on helping patients improve daily living skills, emotional regulation, fine motor skills, sensory integration, self-care, and overall independence. The therapist will collaborate closely with families, educators, and healthcare professionals to support each child's progress across different environments. Responsibilities Conduct evaluations and assessments to identify patient needs and challenges Create individualized treatment plans based on patient goals Provide therapy focused on: Fine motor development Sensory integration Emotional regulation Coordination and strength Self-care and daily living skills Educate families on adaptive techniques and home strategies Document patient progress and treatment outcomes Collaborate with physicians, speech therapists, nurses, educators, and caregivers Adjust treatment plans based on patient progress Stay updated on occupational therapy practices and certifications Qualifications Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Must pass the NBCOT exam Active Occupational Therapist state license Pediatric experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome Strong communication and interpersonal skills Knowledge of occupational therapy techniques, adaptive equipment, and assistive technologies Strong organizational and time management abilities BLS certification or willingness to obtain it #
