Job Description

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This contract opportunity is located near Amherst, NH, and is perfect for professionals who are passionate about making a difference in a school-based setting. As an Occupational Therapist, you'll help students develop essential skills for their educational journey—collaborating closely with educators, families, and other support staff to create a positive and supportive environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist in New Hampshire Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred Familiarity with IEP process and goal development Outstanding communication, organization, and teamwork skills Commitment to supporting students with varying abilities
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments of student needs—sensory, fine motor, and functional skills Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and interventions within the school environment Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support educational goals Participate in IEP meetings and provide expert recommendations for student accommodations and modifications Monitor, document, and report student progress, updating plans as needed Offer consultative support and training to educational staff regarding occupational therapy strategies and tools
