Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Make a real difference this summer by supporting students' growth and success! We're seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to contribute expertise for an Extended School Year (ESY) program on a flexible contract basis. This unique opportunity calls for a committed professional to provide high-quality services to students with diverse needs—all while enjoying a manageable schedule and rewarding environment.
Qualifications:
Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in school-based settings Understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and documentation practices Strong communication and collaboration skills with teachers, parents, and support staff Familiarity with sensory integration, fine and gross motor skills intervention, and adaptive strategies for K-12 students Ability to work independently and efficiently in a dynamic educational environment
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to eligible students attending the ESY program Evaluate student progress, document sessions, and adjust interventions as needed to support IEP goals Collaborate with special education teams and families to foster student engagement and participation Provide adaptive techniques and recommendations for classroom accommodations Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines This assignment is structured for excellent work-life balance—just one day per week, for approximately 2.5 hours each visit.
