School Occupational Therapist

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Take your expertise in school-based occupational therapy and make an impact this summer! An opportunity is available for a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide essential services to students with disabilities during the Extended School Year (ESY) session. This contract position runs from July 6 through July 31, Monday through Thursday, 8 am to 12 pm. You'll play a crucial role in helping students achieve their IEP goals through tailored interventions and collaborative support.

What You'll Do:

Deliver both direct and consultative occupational therapy services in alignment with each student's IEP. Apply evidence-based strategies to foster improvement in fine motor abilities, sensory processing, self-care, and overall participation in school routines. Maintain thorough and timely documentation of session notes, student progress, and service logs to meet compliance requirements. Work closely with educators, special education staff, and families to maximize the effectiveness and continuity of therapy services. Adapt and modify activities or materials to address the unique needs of each student in both classroom and community contexts.

Desired Background:

Current state OT licensure. Previous experience delivering occupational therapy services in school settings is required. Solid knowledge of the

IDEA, IEP

mandates, and the special education process.
