Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding summer opportunity providing skilled occupational therapy support to students during their Extended School Year (ESY) program. This contract position runs from July 6 to July 31, with a schedule of Monday through Thursday, 8 am to 12 pm. You'll play a vital role in helping students achieve their Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals in a collaborative and supportive environment.
What You'll Do:
Deliver both direct and consultative occupational therapy services as specified in student IEPs. Apply evidence-based interventions to support students' fine motor skills, self-care routines, sensory regulation, and classroom participation. Maintain clear and timely documentation, including session notes, progress updates, and service records in accordance with all district and legal standards. Work closely with special education teachers, related service providers, and caregivers to ensure continuity in support services. Adapt activities and materials, tailoring interventions to individual student strengths and needs.
Qualifications:
Hold an active state Occupational Therapy license. Demonstrated experience in school-based OT services is required. Strong understanding of IDEA legislation and the IEP development process. Ability to collaborate effectively and communicate clearly with multidisciplinary teams and families.
